Cheri’s Story

Cheri’s passion for helping others has been at the heart of her work for many years. As a mother, community advocate, resource specialist, and healthcare broker, she understands how important it is to have someone you can trust when life gets complicated.

Cheri attended St. Petersburg College (SPC) and the University of South Florida (USF). Her career and volunteer work have centered around connecting people—especially older adults, individuals with disabilities, and neighbors with limited incomes—with information, resources, and programs that can make everyday life a little easier.

Her commitment to older adults goes back many years. In 2011, Cheri became involved with the Falls Prevention Coalition, helping develop community education events and partnerships throughout the Tampa Bay area. She also served on the boards of Better Living for Seniors Pinellas and RSVP (Retired Senior Volunteer Program).

Today, Cheri continues her work as a Resource Specialist on Florida’s Space Coast, helping people understand and connect with community programs, government benefits, healthcare resources, and other services. That experience is also an important part of her approach as a healthcare broker: listen first, explain things clearly, and treat every person like a neighbor—not a number.

Brevard County is home, and Cheri loves the people, beaches, wildlife, and natural beauty of the Space Coast. Through Your Beachside Broker, she brings together her experience in healthcare, education, community service, and senior advocacy to provide the kind of personal help she believes everyone deserves.
